Just stopped by to let you know some of the latest and greatest happenings at your favorite stampin' and scrappin' store in beautiful Woodruff, WI. We are fully stocked with halloween and autumn papers for all of your fall layouts. Lots of great stickers, buttons (even buttons that look like candy corn - how cute is that?) and embellishments.
Just received some great Sugartree papers including lots of deer hunting and a new duck hunting one that is just fabulous (also got in more of the birch bark paper that is a favorite of our customers - just can't keep it in stock). I'm sure you're not finished with your fishing layouts, so we have lots of fishing papers to help you out there.
Also just in are our ever popular Reminisce Mini Maps and Jet Setters. These seem to be some of our customer's favorite embellishments. Hope you stop in soon and get the state or country you need to finish your latest travel layouts.
We still are very well stocked with the holiday Cuttle Bug folders and die cuts. We have a board made up with a bunch of cards that our creative staff has come up with to showcase these great new Provo Craft products. Also down by the cash register we have reduced all of our remaining 2"x2" embossing folders from the regular $6.00 to $4.50. Be sure and stop in and see what we have left and pick them up at a great 25% off savings.

We have lots of Christmas stamps in from Inkadinkadoo, Penney Black and Hero Arts. Stop in and check them our for your Christmas cards - Christmas will be upon us sooner than you think.
To get you in the Christmas spirit Mary Anne and Lynne have created a new Christmas card class using Penney Black's stickers. If you have never worked with stickers creating your Christmas cards - you will be surprised at how easy it is and how quick it would be to create some very beautiful cards. We will be using the Cuttle Bug, Nestabilities, the Scor-Pal, and stamps to create four awesome cards using your choice of any of the three new Penney Black sticker sheets. We will also create an Iris folding card in the shape of a Christmas tree - you will be surprised how easy this card is and how beautiful it turns out. Iris folding is a great way to use up small scraps of paper that all of us papercrafters having lying around. We will hold the first class on Wednesday October 1 at 6:00 p.m. Call the store to reserve your spot soon! We will also have these cards set out on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during the day, so if you want to stop in and make a set you can do it that way also. The cost is a reasonable $15.00. As usual everything is pre-cut and all adhesive/embellishments used on the samples are included in the price.
As far as any other classes goes, since summer is now over, we are changing our format a little to give classes on demand. Just call the store and set up a time to come in during the day (between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.) and we can accommodate you. We understand that alot of you folks come quite a distance to attend our classes so we would like to make them available at a time that is convenient for you. Looking forward to being your creative headquarters in the northwoods!!!

Tall Oaks Retreat
Just returned from my first ever retreat. Can't tell you how much fun my girlfriend Veronica and I had. This was a hosted event and the owner Casie was there and she cooked all of our meals and did the dishes so all we had to worry about was scrapbooking, cardmaking, and creating - how great is that! Every meal was great and some really great snacks too (just imagine brownies with Symphony bars baked right in). It was great meeting some very nice crafters from all over the state - all together there were 15 of us including Casie. The creative energy was really flowing and it was so much fun to see what others were working on and trading ideas, instructions, and scrapbooking supplies. The craft area is awesome - lots of table space for each person and some really comfortable chairs. She also has some tools that are available for your use including decorative scissors, a sewing machine, ironing board, Sizzix Big Shot/with dies, Tonic cutter, and a computer with high speed internet. This is a super getaway for any crafter and I would highly recommend checking it out. Click on Tall Oaks Retreat on the left side of our blog and that will get you to Casie's website where you can see some pictures of the retreat itself and further information on coming to one of the hosted retreats or renting it yourself and having your own retreat with a bunch of friends. Also this isn't just for scrappers, Casie welcomes all crafters. She has a very user friendly website where you can find out immediately if the week days or weekend you are interested in is available.

New Products/Classes
Just wanted to update you on the happenings at the Bakers Wife. We are getting in TONS of new product from CHA in Rosemont - see below for some highlights:
Reminisce - Reminisce paper has two new lines of paper: Enchanted Autumn and Scary Tactics, which includes new autumn and Halloween papers, stickers, rubons and large sticker sheets. Both lines are totally awesome! The Enchanted Autumn line is holographic – I have never seen any paper like it. We have created new and exciting Halloween make-n-takes using this holographic paper. We also have their new winter line of paper, which includes holographic penguin and polar bear paper – A perfect choice for those winter layouts.
Best creations - Best Creations glitter paper also has new autumn, birthday, winter, Christmas and Halloween glitter paper. We have a variety of shaped chipboard albums, tabbed chipboard albums and a really cute album shaped like an owl. We also have many of Best Creations beautiful stickers. If you have never tried these stickers - you really should! The stickers are silver, gold, glittered and raised epoxy. We also have an assortment of their card making stickers, which are only $1.00. Moxie - Having trouble coming up with new and exciting ideas for your kid’s school pages? Moxie's school papers are the perfect solution.
